Your Questions Answered

Is hands on therapy essential for recovery?

Spine massage pexels.jpg

Traditionally hands-on-therapy and passive techniques (e.g. massage) have been used as the mainstay treatment to address pain and dysfunction. However releasing only symptomatic areas of the body rarely address the underlying problems that actually lead to persistent pain and dysfunction.

At Move To Soothe we have obsessed on finding a better way to treat pain and dysfunction. We use a hollistic model of care that addresses the multidimensional nature of pain and dysfunction.

We also empower you with the tools, advice, exercise and DIY techniques you need to complete your recovery yourself instead of having to rely solely on in-person sessions which can be hard to access and often provide only short term relief.

Can I do the programs with a disc bulge?

disc bulge spine crop.jpg

The simple answer is Yes! 80 percent of acute disc bulges typically resolve within 12 weeks but unfortunately many people with disc bulges can still experience long term pain.

You may have already tried a whole host of hands on techniques or medication and been told surgery isn’t an option...!?

But effective reduction of prolonged pain after disc bulges requires using a different set of treatment tools FIRSTLY for addressing pain itself and secondly for restoring normal loading and function of the body.

This pain mastery program is built to provide you these essential tools and specifically guide you step by step through your recovery.

I’m years postpartum, is it too late for me to improve?

It is NEVER too late to correct core physical dysfunction  and improve your physical symptoms.

It true to say that 'Once postpartum always postpartum' - whether you are 6 weeks are 30 years!

Pregnancy and childbirth create many changes in physical function that can create (and maintain) long term issues like back pain, leaky bladders and pelvic organ prolapse especially after menopause.

Most of these changes do not automatically reverse and require specialist input to target your core needs no matter where you are in your Motherhood Journey
